First Period Book Of Choice Project Directions

First period English has a project due in place of a test for the current book genre.  The project is on a book of the student's choice (to be checked off with Ms. Shafer BEFORE the project is begun) and is due on February 22, 2012.
Students of first period English, you are to create a map of the significant places in your book and give brief explanations as to why these places are important.  The map may be of large areas (a student reading Around The World In 80 Days might actually need to have a globe in order to complete the map) or not-so-large areas (a student reading The Diary Of Anne Frank would need to map out only the Secret Annexe and the street in Amsterdam where it is located).  The maps may be 2-D, 3-D, or digital.  They should be in color and neatly labeled (with explanations).  Be careful to spell and punctuate correctly.  Neatness will also count. If you use a 3-D medium (clay, pastry dough, legos, small and dainty poodles, etc.), you still need printed or written labels and explanations.
Physical projects must be handed in by 3:00 PM on Feb. 22.  Digital projects must be e-mailed in by 5:00 PM on the same day.  (Make sure your attachments actually work!)
